When I pick up my camera, my mindset shifts from just idly experiencing my surroundings to genuinely being aware of the beauty around me. With portrait photography, I find beauty within each and every person. I find what makes them laugh and how their nose scrunches up when they do. Then, I capture that moment. A beautiful, unique moment frozen in time.   Every moment is different and yet the movement is always constant. Unless I capture it, each moment is ephemeral. 

As an adventurer, traveling around the world, I appreciate the beauty of this magnificent earth around us and the interconnectedness of each person within it. Everything I do is driven by this appreciation of beauty. It is in this appreciation that I have found connection to those around me, always searching for the best in people. 

When I look at the ocean, I don’t just see water – I see the constant movement of powerful yet calming waters somehow being pulled by the moon in the sky. I see the way the sun glows at the crest of the wave. It’s pure magic.

This is much how I see people around me. We are being pulled by a greater force and each person is beautiful in their differences. Love stories are each unique, but love is universal. The unique intricacies of each story is where I believe the beauty is.

I began my career as an expat in Auckland, New Zealand in studio female portraiture. I then continued building my business in Colorado around female portraits, working primarily with fashion brands, influencers and modeling agencies. 

While I love the fashion industry, I yearned to create images with a deeper meaning— something more than a trendy Instagram filter for a passing season.  Currently residing in Southern California, I now seek to bring in an editorial perspective of story-telling and deeper meaning in everything I photograph. My fashion background gives me a unique perspective for my signature wedding photography. My heart is filled with admiration for each person and love story I come across.
