Morgan married her husband exactly 1 year ago in Pennsylvania. After a beautiful wedding, Morgan moved across the country with her new husband to San Diego, where he was deployed as a Marine. Morgan wanted a fun way to celebrate their one year anniversary in San Diego while he was away, so she reached out to do a Trash the Dress Photoshoot in San Diego.
When Morgan reached out about a trash the dress session at Solana Beach in San Diego, California, I was so excited! Not only is Solana Beach a stunning location for a photo session, Morgan looked absolutely radiant in her wedding dress!
A Trash the Dress Photoshoot is a fun way to re-use your wedding dress in a photoshoot after your wedding. Typically, the bride will wear the dress for fun pictures in the water! Don’t worry, this doesn’t have to mean that the dress is completely ruined. With Morgan’s dress, we just dry cleaned it after the photoshoot, and it is still in beautiful shape.
We came up with this fun idea of a tall flower crown, almost Bossa Nova headdress – think Carmen Miranda, but Boho. Yesenia from Flowers by Yesenia did an incredible job of making this peony-adorned flower crown fit for a queen. She used faux flowers, so that the crown could be kept well! Her beautiful har and makeup was done by Sara Ortega, Owner & Lead Hair/Makeup Artist at Hairspray Studio in San Diego.
